Visual Arts Studio 2018/2019

Fantastic new Summer Courses at Tramway Visual Arts Studio.

Starting Monday 2nd of July

Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm £100 for Glasgow mainstream schools and £110 to all other students.

The first two weeks follow a general introduction to investigation and development for design and expressive folios. The courses are designed to support National 5 , Higher and Advanced Higher art and design. We will use the environment in the studio and hidden gardens as inspiration for this work. The week will start with the students investigating the local environment through drawing and photography. Using these investigations the student will be introduced to a wide variety of skills and processes including painting printmaking and sculpture. This work will then be developed towards a more considered expressive or design outcome which could be developed further back at school.

Courses can be used as stand alone weeks or for students wishing to apply to art school or wish more in depth study various weeks could be combined to produce a more in depth portfolio. There will be a reduction in cost for students to combine more than one weeks study.
